Ever wonder what happens with all that summer reading once school starts? Bruriah Middle School students read books of their choice over the summer, each grade with its own page number goal, and wrote short mini-reviews of what they read. Now that September is here, they prepared “book sale” talking points and tried to sell each other on their favorite book of the summer. This way each girl learned about new books to read for independent reading during the year, and students got to showcase the effort they made over the summer to maintain their reading stamina and English skills. The book sale was a great success across all grades!
