One of the highlights of Chol HaMoed Sukkot in the Middlesex County Jewish communities was the free Chol Hamoed concert and carnival held on Sunday, October 20, organized by Hatzolah of Middlesex County. Held at the Yeshiva Shaarei Tzion Boys School on Ethel Road in Piscataway, the event featured a concert by Nachas, amusement park rides, bouncy houses, cotton candy, pizza from Giddy’s, a faux mountain-climbing attraction, a demonstration of the features of a Hatzolah ambulance and more.
Hatzolah of Middlesex County members took great pride in a formal ribbon-cutting to introduce their new MC-ERV-1 vehicle. The vehicle is dedicated in loving memory of Dr. Jeffrey Ben-Zvi, z”l, the first advanced life support member of and former interim medical director of Flatbush Hatzolah. His wife, Julie, cut the ribbon for the new vehicle and Fishel Erps, chief and founder of Hatzolah of Middlesex County, thanked all the community members for attending. Organizers estimated that over 500 people participated in the event.
