In just a few short weeks, the holiday of Purim will be celebrated. The YM-YWHA of Union hosts one of the largest carnivals in the area. On the map now for over thirty years, the program attracts hundreds of people and entertains children of all ages. Beginning at 12:15 with a special Purim puppet show, children and their families can then visit the petting zoo. There will be a strolling clown making special balloons, and, of course, loads of carnival games. Inflatable rides for all ages, as well as face painting, all make for a perfect day! A costume parade will be held at 2 p.m. The cost is only $36 per family ($25 for Y members and families of registered 2016 campers). In addition, hot dogs, burgers, fries, knishes, beverages and the traditional hamantaschen can be purchased. The address is 501 Green Lane in Union. For more information, please call (908)289-8112.
