(JNS) Thousands of Israeli citizens once again scrambled to bomb shelters this week when Palestinians in Gaza launched over a dozen rockets at southern Israel.
Red Alert warning sirens rang out in Eshkol, Sha’ar HaNegev, Sdot Negev and Hof Ashkelon multiple times from 1:45 a.m. to 4 a.m. on Wednesday. No casualties or damage were reported in Israel. The Iron Dome missile-defense system intercepted three rockets, and those that touched down did so in unpopulated areas.
Schools were opened in the morning following a meeting between army officials and regional council leaders.
