When Gedaliah Borvick and wife Fayge made aliyah in 2003 from Bergenfield, with five children in tow, they were joining family from both sides and many friends from Bergenfield and Teaneck. Their destination was Beit Shemesh, where they still reside, now blessed with seven children and three grandchildren.Their sons served in the IDF and daughters in Sherut Leumi. Their community offers them all of the amenities needed for an Orthodox Jewish lifestyle, including shuls, schools, shopping and cultural activities. The Borvicks are happy campers!
Acknowledging his family’s good fortune in acclimating so well into Israeli society, Borvick is professionally involved in enabling other olim from the U.S. to acquire housing in communities which will provide them with the lifestyle they are seeking for their families. “My Israel Home,” founded by Borvick in 2010, has been involved in three pre-sale projects in the Jerusalem areas of Arnona and Baka. To date, Borvick “guesstimates” that he has brought about over 300 successful matches for olim as well as those looking to purchase vacation homes or seeking investment opportunities in Israel.
Borvick will be in the U.S. to introduce a new development outside of Beit Shemesh which “My Israel Home’’ was selected to represent in its presale stage, even before its April offering in Israel. The developers of the project are confident that “My Israel Home” will attract potential buyers for the project who will appreciate its rustic setting, convenient location within a short distance of both Beit Shemesh and Ramat Beit Shemesh, and convenient commutes to Jerusalem in 30 minutes and Tel Aviv within 45 minutes.
The first stage of the project, consisting of 270 homes of the projected 500, will offer semi-attached four to five bedroom homes with gardens. The starting price for these units is approximately $670,000, significantly less than comparable units would go for in Beit Shemesh itself. The developer of the project has a sterling reputation for quality building and design.
Borvick, who has spent 30 years in the real estate field as an attorney, investment sales broker and senior vice president of acquisitions at Extell Development Company, founded “My Israel Home” as a unique brokerage firm that that provides client-driven services focused on helping families from abroad navigate the complex process of purchasing and selling homes in Israel. Accompanying Borvick on his upcoming programs in the U.S. will be Ruthie Garbacz Yudin, team leader of Netanya and Beit Shemesh, whose expertise and dynamic personality have helped her become an elite agent who understands the needs and wishes of her clientele. As a resident of Beit Shemesh, Yudin is very familiar with the services and amenities which would attract families to this new development. Attorney Josh Portman, a prominent real estate attorney with an expertise in both the intricacies of buying on paper and IntraTransfer currency exchange, will be at the sessions as well to provide legal and financial guidance.
Borvick has selected four New Jersey communities and five New York communities for his upcoming visit. In New Jersey, Borvick will be presenting at Congregation Beth Abraham, 396 New Bridge Road in Bergenfield, at 8 p.m..on Monday, February 24. On Tuesday, February 25, he will be at Congregation Beth Aaron, 950 Queen Anne Road in Teaneck, at 8 p.m.. On Motzei Shabbat he will be presenting at the home of Talia and Yair Hindin, 35 Copley Avenue in Teaneck, at 8:30 p.m. On Sunday, March 1, he will present in Fair Lawn at 8 p.m. at the home of Ariella and Josh Lustiger, 13-47 Comerford Place. On Wednesday, March 4, he will present at Congregation Ahavas Achim, 216 South 1st Avenue in Highland Park, at 8 p.m. Borvick and his team will also be visiting Cedarhurst, Woodmere, Jamaica Estates, Kew Gardens Hills and New Rochelle.
At the programs, Borvick and his team will display architectural drawings and discuss details including projected timetables. He will also rely upon the expertise of the members of his Israeli team, including his partner, Eliezer Goldberg, founder of HETER, a leading company handling building permits and rezoning applications in the Jerusalem area.
Borvick is excited to return to his Bergenfield community to greet his former neighbors and friends and offer them exciting opportunities. “At ‘My Israel Home’ we pride ourselves on connecting our clients to expert and honest professionals who will protect their interests at every stage of the process.”
