Norman B. Gildin has been appointed as Executive Vice President of the American Friends of Migdal Ohr (AFMO). The appointment is effective immediately. Tony Fromer, President, and Max Thurm, Chairman of the Board, made the joint announcement on behalf of the American Friends of Migdal Ohr.
Gilden, a Teaneck resident, received his BA from Yeshiva University and his MA from the George Washington University School of Government and Business Administration. He was the first awardee in 1986 of the Dr. Herbert Shore Young Executive Award by the North American Association of Jewish Homes and Housing for the Aging.
Migdal Ohr is one of the premier networks of essential services for disadvantaged children in Israel. “I am elated to be part of a dynamic team effort to serve these needy children at risk and those who are less fortunate,” said Gildin. I look forward to working closely with the Board of Directors and making a lasting contribution to this remarkable agency.”
Migdal Ohr, founded by Israel Prize winner and Presidential Medal recipient, Rabbi Yitzhak Dovid Grossman, serves more than 10,000 orphaned, abused, impoverished children and young adults across Israel annually through its 160 youth clubs and three main campuses.
