The Jewish Link of New Jersey and Gotham Burger would like to recognize twelve year old Judah Milgrom as this week’s Sportstar of the Week. Milgrom, a seventh grader, is avaluable member of the RYNJ Jaguars basketball team and earned MVP honors at Bergen Broncos summer camp a couple of weeks ago.
When asked about Judah, RYNJ coach Steve Gutlove told The JLNJ, “Judah is a coach’s dream; hardworking and coachable with a high basketball IQ.”
Judah, yasher koach on your MVP award. Who is your role model and why?
My dad because he is very supportive of me and comes to all my games. He also teaches me the importance of being a good person.
Who is your favorite athlete and why?
Jimmy Butler because I’m a Chicago Bulls fan and I like his playing style.
What is your pregame routine?
I like to listen to music.
What is your earliest sports memory?
Going to Yankee games with my dad.
What is your funniest sports memory?
Once, at Yankee stadium, my mom and I were on the Jumbotron and she hid her face when she realized.
What is your favorite sports memory?
Hitting a buzzer beater three to win the game at Moshava this summer.
What do you like to do when not playing sports?
Watching sports with my four brothers: Zachary, Jonathan, Adam and Elijah.
What is the best thing about being a sportstar?
Making my coach, Steve Gutlove, proud.
