Dear Shayna B.,
Since school started I’ve been having a hard time focusing in class. Honestly, class is really boring for me. I really want to know what you can do to help me pay attention. My friends tell me to use a fidget toy, but my teachers don’t let me. On the other hand, I don’t even like fidget toys. Nevertheless, I still want to be a good student and have fun in class.
Sincerely,Stressed Shimon
Dear Stressed Shimon,
What about class is boring? Is it too challenging? Is it not challenging enough? Do you just not like the subjects?
If class is not hard enough, speak to your teacher. If it’s too hard, make flash cards and study more. Also, of course, you can speak to your teacher. If the subjects are boring, oh, well—tough luck. Kidding!
Find something you like about each subject so whenever you go to class you’ll have a positive outlook on each one. You have to go to prison … I mean you have to go to school anyway, so why not be happy to be locked up in a jail cell all day every day … I mean be in a classroom for the day. Your prison warden … I mean teacher, and jail mates … I mean your friends, will all be glad you can focus. And that way you won’t do double time for your crimes … l mean get held back for not concentrating.
Best of luck,Shayna B.
