(Courtesy of Israel Bonds) Israel Bonds recently hosted a successful event bridging together the Englewood Community, including Ahavath Torah, East Hills Synagogue and Congregation Shomrei Emunah. Led by Esther Lerer, Englewood community chair, along with event co-chairs Mark Finkel and Dr. Ronald Strobel, this annual event was the largest yet, with approximately 150 people in attendance.
Congregants, family, friends and colleagues were there to recognize the event honorees, Daniel Federbush, president of Congregation Ahavath Torah, Dr. Jonathan Thurm, president of East Hill Synagogue and Dr. Arthur Schwartz, president of Congregation Shomrei Emunah, each of whom received the Israel Bonds Unity Award. Renee and MB Klyman of Ahavath Torah were the first recipients of the L’Dor v’Dor Young Leadership Award.
Dani Naveh, recently appointed president and CEO of Israel Bonds, was the keynote speaker and spoke about Israel’s accomplishments and innovations in the 21st century and the significant contributions made to the world. Mr. Naveh brings years of government and business experience to this leadership role and was well-received by all.
In addition to the excellent turnout at this event, over $3 million dollars of investments and indications of interest were generated. After hearing more about Israel bonds, many first-timers were enthusiastic about investing in the State of Israel.
