(JNS) Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has launched a Twitter account to provide information on the country’s efforts to combat the coronavirus, according to an official statement.
The Israel Pandemic Information Center (IPIC) account, @pandemicinfoil, will serve as a means of communicating facts, insights and lessons from Israel’s efforts in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic to the global community, according to the statement.
The IPIC is “dedicated to sharing information provided by Israel’s Ministry of Health, as well as on other matters of international interest in the areas of health, education, economy, information, logistics, leadership and more,” the statement said.
The center will tweet about the main areas of interest raised with Bennett by world leaders, including what to take into account when weighing the imposition of virus-related restrictions; how to address the dilemmas that arise when considering policy; and insights from Israel’s vaccination campaign.
“The world has shown great interest in Israel’s lessons and experiences in combating COVID-19, and Israel is eager to share our knowhow with the world,” explained Bennett.
“Together, the global community has a greater chance of combating [it] than we would if we were to take it on alone,” he added.
