Lighting the menorah is the highlight of Chanukah and JEC Early Childhood students enhanced this mitzvah in a unique way. The children learned about the art of candle-making through a special activity led by Michli Silberstein, a JEC parent and owner of Kaleidocraft. Using colorful wax chips to create patterns, and an assortment of scents, children designed their very own shamash candles. The next day, each child proudly carried home a beautiful shamash. What a creative way to personalize the mitzvah of lighting the menorah!
