The Jewish Educational Center will commemorate the 21st yahrtzeit of its founder, HaRav Pinchas Mordechai Teitz z’l, on 4 Tevet/January 2, with a school-wide Yom Iyun in his memory and merit.
Bruriah will host a mother-daughter learn-in that day with keynotes Rav Elazar Mayer Teitz, dean of the JEC and son of Rav Pinchas Mordechai; as well as Rabbi Binyamin Blau, son of Rabbi Yosef and Dr. Rivkah Blau and grandson of Rav Pinchas Mordechai, who currently serves as Rosh HaYeshiva of the Fuchs Mizrachi School in Cleveland, Ohio, and Rav of the Green Road Synagogue in that city.
The JEC Lower School will hold a variety of assemblies and workshops aimed at both educating students about the Torah and legacy of HaRav Teitz z’l as well as imbuing students and faculty alike with the continued sense of mission and dedication that Rav had for Jewish children, education and continuity.
The Rav Teitz Mesivta Academy will commence its morning with a father-son minyan followed by the school-wide learning of a complete mesechta, which HaRav Elazar Mayer Teitz will be misayaim in memory of his father at the conclusion.
