JEC’s Yeshiva of Elizabeth has been successfully teaching children in their reading centers using new tablets, featuring a reputable phonics-based program. Mrs. Randi Beals, a second grade instructor, was proud that her students have been flourishing while enjoying their lessons and activities.

The applications come from Lexia Learning, a division of Rosetta Stone, which provides technology-based services to build personalized fundamental reading skills in students of all abilities.

Students can log into Lexia where they can complete spelling and reading exercises, mastering each level before progressing to the next. The children are able to log in from their home computers or tablets to continue their learning remotely.
