Jewish Family Service of MetroWest NJ Hosts Free Parent Academy


Jewish Family Service of MetroWest NJ (JFS) is offering a free parenting series, The Parent Academy, for parents of children of varying ages, throughout the 2022-2023 school year.

February’s Parent Academy, “Raising Confident Kids,” will be taking place at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 3 at Gottesman RTW Academy, 146 Dover Chester Road, Randolph.

Topics that will be covered include:

  • Strategies for building long-term emotional resilience.
  • Tools to turn difficult moments into character-building ones.
  • A mindset shift around what confidence really is.

The workshop will be facilitated by Marianne McCrone, MS, NCC, LPC, ACS. McCrone is a licensed professional counselor working in the field of mental health and trauma for over 14 years. She is currently the clinical director of JFS Child and Adolescent Services and Rachel Coalition, the domestic violence counseling program at JFS. She is responsible for providing outpatient mental health services to children, families and domestic violence survivors, as well as supervising clinicians. McCrone also works within the community and local schools to promote education around mental health and social-emotional wellness.
