Are you a senior or physically challenged individual who needs assistance building your sukkah? Jewish Home at Home’s Safely@Home, formerly Bonim Builders, would like to help. Our volunteers are once again available to help assemble your sukkah in time for the holidays. Our volunteers will be building sukkahs on Sunday, October 2 through Sunday, October 9.
Building a sukkah is a fun and rewarding project for individuals and families. It is also a meaningful mitzvah. Safely@Home volunteers build sukkahs for our seniors and the physically challenged in our local community so they may celebrate Sukkot in the manner they are accustomed to. Our build dates are Sunday, October 2, and Sunday, October 9. Weekdays are also available October 5 through October 7. Assistance with disassembly is also needed on Sunday, October 30. All ages are welcome. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Contact Stacey Orden at [email protected] or 201-518-1175 by Monday, September 19 to reserve the build date and location you prefer. High school community-service letters are provided.
