(Courtesy of FNNJ) Shalva Hessel, author of “Married to the Mossad,” spoke at Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey on January 10, sharing her experiences living undercover in a hostile country as an agent for the Mossad. When her husband, Yoram, who served in a senior role in the Mossad, was deployed on a secret mission, she joined him as part of his cover. To that end, she underwent intense operational training. Hessel told her incredible true story, drawing from events she experienced and operations she took part in. Her story is an intense real-life thriller, yet her humor, wit and smarts were palpable in her telling of her story.
