(Courtesy of JFSCNJ) Jewish Family Service of Central NJ (JFSCNJ) hosted its annual meeting recently, where new officers and continuing board members were installed. Volunteers of the year were recognized, and the new JFS Charlotte Shak Food Pantry Storage Building was unveiled.
The following individuals were elected to become part of the executive committee under the leadership of Ruth B. Margolin, who was elected JFSCNJ president for a two-year term, taking over from Fred Kessler: President: Ruth B. Margolin, First Vice President: Jennifer Marshall Sofield, Vice President: Arielle Traub, Treasurer: Mark Hauptman, Asst. Treasurer: Gerri Rothfleisch and Secretary: Donald Shapiro
Ruth B. Margolin has retired from a long career as an administrator in formal and informal Jewish education. In addition to her involvement with Jewish Family Service, Ruth currently serves on the Boards of (and has held leadership positions in) Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains, the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest, and Women’s Philanthropy of Jewish Federation. She has served on the Board of Jewish Family Service since 2007, and she is pleased now to assume the responsibilities of President.
