Maria Mullen, RN, Jewish Family Service of Central New Jersey (JFSCNJ) director of nursing has announced that a four-week training program for certified home health aides will begin on Monday, October 4. According to Mullen, “The course will put you on the path to a new career as a certified home health aide, a field that is rapidly growing and in high demand.” The program will end Thursday, October 29.
It will be determined if all lectures will be done remotely. The skills portion will be done on-site at the JFS Halpern Building, 655 Westfield Avenue in Elizabeth.
Classes are held Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.- 3:30 p.m., with a half-hour lunch break. The JFSCNJ certified home health aide training course meets all of the requirements of the New Jersey Board of Nursing. The fee for the class is $75 for books and materials.
The JFSCNJ certified home health aide training program is generously funded by The Fred C. Rummel Foundation and Jewish Family Service of Central New Jersey.
