The JKHA choir performed in New York City as part of Hagigah Ivrit, Celebration of the Hebrew Language in Metropolitan New York. The choir was accompanied by JKHA student musicians. The Hebrew Song Celebration is an initiative taken jointly by the Council for Hebrew Language and Culture in North America and the World Zionist Organization’s Unit for Morim-Shlichim to promote the learning of Hebrew through songs and music. Choirs from schools across the Tri-State area came to New York to participate in workshops and sing together in Hebrew. This year’s theme was “Israel’s Founding Composers” and was the focus of the concert held by the choirs.
