JKHA sixth graders were excited for their trip to the Buehler Challenger and Space Center in Paramus since they had learned so much in preparation for their trip. The students took part in the mission, Rendezvous with Comet Halley. The students participated in different teams and experienced the simulation of handling emergencies, building probes, collecting data from space, researching plants and chemicals, communicating from space and navigating the spaceship. On the whole, it was a scientific experience for the students. It was impressive to watch them behave responsibly during the trip and the commanders at Buehler remarked, “These students are hardworking and are well focused!”
