As our office in Teaneck currently has several entire rooms dedicated to the sorting and organizing of virtually all the kosher wine bottles available in the U.S. market, I was asked to explain the process by which we are also welcoming you, our readers, from near and far to join us at the inaugural Jewish Link Wine Guide Grand Tasting, to be held at Factory 220 on Feb. 27.
Over the past three years, along with my trusty Wine Guide deputy editor, Michal Rosenberg, we are proud to have created what is now a beautiful, glossy, 80-page wine guide magazine featuring rankings and articles encompassing the world of kosher wine. During that time we have also built very powerful relationships with many individuals who depend on the kosher wine marketplace for their living. We have gotten to know the wineries that make the wine that graces our Shabbat tables, and often the winemakers and owners who are responsible for both the contents and the delivery of those bottles. These people who make up the global kosher wine community are hard workers, dedicated to kashrut, Medinat Yisrael, and for our Israeli winemakers, to the eretz (land) itself.
It is long past time we introduce these partners to our readers. To that end, we have invited kosher winemakers from all over the world to join us on Feb. 27. Featuring, curated delicious bites to complement what’s in your glass, the event is designed to highlight the elegance and majesty of the kosher winemaking community, giving particular hakarat hatov to our Israeli winemakers who are traveling to join us for the occasion in a very difficult year.
We are also very glad to share that a portion of our ticket sales will be donated to several charities dedicated to the Israeli winegrape growers and agriculture communities. We will also be highlighting in the magazine this Pesach the experiences of many of our winemakers who are IDF reservists, those who lost family members during the war and/or those who have all or most of their staff members away serving in various capacities in the war effort. Come show your support for the Israel wine-making industry, which needs us now more than ever.
Please join us at the event by signing up at jlinkevents.com and please feel free to use our special Jewish Link reader coupon code for $35 off the ticket price: JLM35. Looking forward to greeting you there.
