NYU student and Kushner alum Adina Lichtman (JKHA ‘07/RKYHS ‘11) had the honor of lighting the Chanukah menorah at the NYU Bronfman Center with presidential candidate and former Florida governor Jeb Bush. Lichtman is the founder of the non-profit “Knock Knock Give a Sock” (www.knockknockgiveasock.org) which has collected over 40,000 pairs of socks, the most needed, yet least donated, article of clothing for the homeless. Inspired by her years at JKHA and RKYHS, Lichtman began the charity at NYU and it has now spread to more than 20 college campuses and numerous day schools. Bush even brought her a pair of socks to donate!
