On Sunday, December 6, the Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy opened its doors to current and prospective families for a morning of fun, food and chesed at its annual Open House and Family Fun Day. The event was designed to introduce new families to the school and to give current families a chance to interact in a festive Chanukah-themed environment. The morning was filled with Chanukah music by the JKHA third graders, parent and child activities, chesed opportunities, a dvar Torah from head of school Rabbi Eliezer Rubin and, of course, lots of food.
