Jewish Family Service of Central New Jersey’s Lavy House Live series will be presenting “Volunteer Opportunities for All Ages at JFSCNJ” on Wednesday, February 21 at11 a.m. at the Lavy House, 748 E. Broad Street, Westfield, New Jersey.
Join them for a look inside the wide variety of volunteer opportunities available at JFSCNJ for people of all ages.
If you are looking for a meaningful way to celebrate a bar/bat mitzvah, would enjoy programs for tutoring children or adults in their literacy program, would like to work at their food pantry or urban garden in Elizabeth, their social day program for those with memory loss in Scotch Plains, become a “friendly visitor” to help an older adult or Holocaust survivor, or if you would like to organize a project to benefit their community members, they are happy to work with your particular interests, time commitment and availability.
Danielle McLeer, director of outreach and volunteers; Kathleen Fernandez, food pantry coordinator; and Evely Colon-Coleman, garden coordinator; will each discuss their respective programs and offerings.
The program is funded by the Lavy House and the Standish Foundation. Light refreshments will be served (kashrut observed). Ample parking is available in the Temple Emanu-El lot.
Contact: [email protected] or call 908-352-8375 to register for this program.
