Lev Miriam Learning Studio, a micro-school in Passaic, celebrates the end of a super-successful first year with a grand banquet. The school opened in September 2022 with an enrollment of 10 girls of high school age. The warm, inclusive environment, project-based learning and interest-based classes formed the foundation of an incredible year of growth for the learners. The learners are emerging from the Studio experience with confidence, connection and inspiration, and they are eager to return in the fall.
The grand banquet was celebrated with one learner performing a hilarious stand-up comedy routine, another spontaneously performing her original poetry, and others speaking heartfelt words about their year of growth at The Studio. The girls each had a chance to share about their highlights of the year. Some favorites included the melave malka, casual class conversations, a ferry ride, robotics, trips to eateries and the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, limudei kodesh classes, and decorating The Studio for Chanukah and Purim. The girls agreed that the sense of community that they forged with one another is something they will always carry with them.
