Managing Partner Michael Wildes met in the firm’s New York City office with Shomron (Samaria) Mayor Yossi Dagan and Sheikh Abu Khalil from Ramallah, who came to the United States together, in a joint delegation, to talk about economic cooperation and fighting BDS.
Mayor Dagan is a key figure in Israel’s decision-making circles and considered the most prominent and one of the most conservative voices of the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. Sheikh Abu Khalil is also considered a very significant Arab leader and a religious Judge (Kadi). The men share a vision of economic peace and coexistence – particularly in the industrial zones of Judea and Samaria, areas targeted for boycott by BDS and other organizations.
Wildes & Weinberg, with offices in New York City, Englewood, New Jersey, Miami, Florida and by appointment in Los Angeles, California, practices all areas of U.S. immigration law.
Wildes was recently re-elected for a third term as the Mayor of Englewood, was appointed to the District Appeals Board of the Selective Service System for the State of New Jersey and was a member of the New Jersey Governor’s Blue Panel on Immigration.
