Last Friday, the Moriah middle school students continued their participation in Yachad’s “28 Days of Inclusion” campaign in honor of North American Inclusion Month (NAIM) with assemblies discussing the importance of disability inclusion. Throughout these sessions, students watched clips from popular movies and TV shows that depicted different forms of both exclusion and inclusion. The program wrapped up with every student completing the prompt, “I’m choosing to be more inclusive by…” on a piece of paper. These submissions were collected and will be displayed in Moriah’s hallways, constantly reminding students to help build an even more inclusive, welcoming and caring school environment.
