(Courtesy of NORPAC) On a recent Friday morning, Rochelle and Phil Goldschmiedt hosted a NORPAC pro-Israel event to support Congressman Brian Mast (R-FL) at their home in Teaneck.
Brian Mast represents Florida’s 18th congressional district, which spans from the northern portion of Palm Beach County through Martin and St. Lucie Counties. Prior to serving in Congress, Rep. Mast, a double amputee, served in the U.S. Army for 12 years, including under the elite Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), and volunteered alongside the IDF in Israel. During his time in service, he was awarded The Bronze Star Medal, The Army Commendation Medal for Valor, The Purple Heart Medal, and The Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
Earlier this year, Rep. Mast collaborated with Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL) to introduce the bipartisan Deterring and Defeating Rocket and Missile Threats to Israel Act—a bill that would allow additional funds outside the current $500 million a year to Israel to defend itself against missile attacks.
Brian Mast is currently serving his first term in the U.S. Congress and will be running for re-election this year. His primary election will be held in August.
