(Ohr Yisroel sports) Ohr Yisroel celebrated its first varsity playoff victory this past week with a road win over Heschel. Just four years into the yeshiva’s storied development the team earned a spot in the post-season after a successful regular season run under coach Dovey Forman. The stands were packed with Ohr Yisroel talmidim and their beloved rebbeim as the team took the court against an accomplished Heschel club whom they split with during the regular season. The Ohr Yisroel fans were not disappointed as their team put together a disciplined, complete game full of key defensive stops, offensive execution and team play. It was a full team effort featuring a powerful inside game, effective ball movement and key 3-point shooting. It was truly exciting to see the fans storm the court, wearing their signature Ohr Yisroel playoff swag, to celebrate with the players as the final moments ticked off the clock and Ohr Yisroel earned its first ever playoff victory.
