One Thousand Pull-Ups for Friendship Circle

On Sunday, March 12, attorney and extreme challenge enthusiast Jonathan Cohen will take on his biggest challenge yet — 1,018 pull-ups. The challenge will benefit children with special needs at Friendship Circle and LifeTown in Livingston.

“Everyone is so much more capable than they realize,” said Cohen. “If you can do something outside the bounds of your skill set, the possibilities are endless.”

Cohen, 33, a Livingston native who now lives in Manhattan, chose Friendship Circle because it is where he started his lifelong passion for volunteering at the age of 17. This marks the first time that he is taking on a challenge in a public space — he usually films himself at home and uses social media, live streaming in real time.

An attorney who works for PNY Technologies, Cohen is busy preparing his body and his mind said, “In the end, that’s the mission — making life better for everyone and building not just a better body or a better organization, but a better society.”

The event will take place at the LifeTown Shoppes beginning at 9:30 a.m. Onsite interviews will be available.
