‘Paterson Shul’ Offers Free High Holiday Services for All

The “Paterson Shul” (www.PatersonShul.com), housed in the basement of Federation Apartments (510 E. 27th Street in Paterson, NJ), invites those who might not have a place to daven for the High Holidays to attend for both Rosh Hashanah (October 3 & 4) and Yom Kippur (Oct. 12). Services begin at 9 a.m.

The services are run in a traditional, Orthodox manner, but the shul is open to all individuals of any Jewish background. Services are free of charge.

The synagogue is attended by a modest crowd of elderly men and women who live in the Federation Apartments. It is attended and run by a group of men (and women) who walk across county lines, sometimes as far as a more than a one-hour walk from Fair Lawn.

There are plenty of seats available for guests from near and far—for men, women and children who would like to join for the high holiday services. It is certain to be an uplifting experience for all.

For more information, to RSVP or to make a donation, email [email protected]. Please also visit www.PatersonShul.com or Paterson Shul on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/patersonshul/?fref=ts.
