Project Yechi will hold its annual barbecue event this Motzei Shabbat, September 14, at 9:15 p.m. at Congregation Keter Torah, 600 Roemer Avenue in Teaneck.
Project Yechi is a unique organization founded in memory of Chaim Feigenbaum z”l. Its mission is to provide financial support to families that are struggling with cancer. Project Yechi has helped 350 families across the U.S. and Israel and has made over 2,000 rent or mortgage payments for cancer patients who are unable to work. This special organization has zero overhead and all the monies raised go directly to the families they are helping.
Thanks to Project Yechi’s efforts, families are able to stay in their home with peace of mind and can focus on fighting the disease. Project Yechi learns about families in need through referrals from organizations like Chai Lifeline, Chai4ever, local bikur cholims, RCCS, Sharsheret and sometimes through local rabbis or chaplains.
