(Courtesy of Kayco) Chanukah, the cherished Jewish “festival of lights,” celebrated this year from December 7 to 14,, holds deep significance. The holiday marks the triumph of the Jewish people against oppression and celebrates the miracle when a single day’s oil lasted for eight days. Honoring that, fried delicacies such as sugar cookies, doughnuts and potato latkes take center stage during this festive period.
