Bergenfield–The sisterhoods of Congregation Ohr HaTorah, Congregation Beth Abraham and Congregation Bnai Yeshurun will present a pre-Rosh Hashanah women’s shiur with Rebbetzin Elisheva Kaminetsky, this coming Shabbos, on September 13th, at 5:00 p.m. at Congregation Ohr HaTorah (36 Rector Court, in Bergenfield). Kaminetsky will speak on “Taking Personal Responsibility: An Essential Part of Teshuvah.”
“The shiur will examine characters in Tanach, sources in Jewish philosophy, and psychological research that all guide us on the path to teshuvah,” Kaminetsky told JLBC.
Rebbetzin Kaminetsky is the director of religious guidance and a Tanach teacher at the Stella K. Abraham Girls High School in Long Island. A kallah teacher and popular lecturer, Kaminetsky holds a B.A. from Stern College, and an M.A. in education from Azrieli Graduate School at Yeshiva University. She attended the Michlalah Seminary in Israel, and is married to Rabbi Yisroel Kaminetsky, who is currently Menahel of DRS High School in the Five Towns. They live in Woodmere with their six children.
“My husband and I both grew up in Teaneck, and that combined with the fact that many of my former students now live in Teaneck, makes it a very exciting opportunity to return and share Torah thoughts,” Kaminetsky said.
