Council members Mark Schwartz and Karen Orgen held an event last week to launch their reelection campaign for the Teaneck Town Council. The event drew a diverse crowd of hundreds of supporters who enjoyed renewing acquaintances and meeting new neighbors.

Schwartz and Orgen spoke of their contributions as current council members who “have worked hard for all of Teaneck’s residents” and, as Orgen pledged, “will continue to do so.” They discussed additional revenue generators, stabilizing taxes, improved leaf pickup and reiterated their commitment to standing up to hate with zero tolerance in light of the recent difficult months the town has experienced.

Teaneck’s Deputy Mayor Elie Y. Katz lent his endorsement: “Karen and Mark are two of the most dedicated, hardworking public servants that Teaneck residents have. They work diligently to represent the entire community and have a track record of success. There is an unbreakable trust between them that makes them a great team and strong advocates for our residents. No more gambling on politicians, this is your home, your town. We need real experience and real results. We need Mark Schwartz and Karen Orgen back on council.”

The Schwartz and Orgen team was grateful for their support as they shared their vision for the future of Teaneck. Orgen commented, “It was a beautiful night and we thank the hundreds of supporters who joined us in the heat to celebrate the kickoff of our campaign, to hear some of our accomplishments over the years and our plans for the future.”

Schwartz emphasized the team’s commitment: “I thank the Cyrulniks for hosting and for everyone who came out to support the kickoff of our campaign. Your campaign. Teaneck’s campaign. This is about keeping Teaneck safe and successful as it was and as its residents deserve. On election day we ask you to vote — not for promises and dreams that rarely, if ever, materialize — but for experience and results.”
