(Courtesy of CAS) Stamford’s Congregation Agudath Sholom, led by Rabbi Daniel Cohen, recently organized a mitzvah day where families shopped for the local kosher food pantry. The shul has taken up this initiative before and plans these events every four to six weeks. It has been a game changer for the community, as the support of donors provide funds for each family to shop with a $100 gift certificate and families model chesed and fill up the coffers of the local food pantry. Kol hakavod to the Stamford community for being a model of chesed to emulate!
