On the Thursday night before Rosh Hashanah, the TABC gym was packed as the school welcomed Eitan Katz for a pre-Rosh Hashanah kumzitz. The evening commenced with a special shiur by Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Yosef Adler on Zichronot and the role they play in our lives. Following a pizza dinner, Rav Yitz Rabovsky welcomed everyone and emphasized the intent of the evening- to go into the Yamim Noraim inspired and connected. He highlighted that despite the program being optional after a long day of school, there was not an empty seat in the room. With the lights out and the candles lit, Reb Eitan and his guitar took center stage and, along with a violinist, led the crowd in singing and divrei chizuk. Before the festivities came to a close, the cholent was wheeled out. The masterpiece, which wafted through the building all of Thursday, was prepared by Rabbi Dovid Einhorn and his shiur. This memorable evening is sure to resonate with all who joined well beyond the chagim.
