Thank You for Your Coverage of The Chabad Shluchim Conference

Thank you for the great article and well-deserved coverage of the grand finale at the International Conference of Chabad Emissaries (“Global Chabad Kinus Gathers in NJ,” November 30, 2022). As one of the 6,500 rabbis and lay leaders in attendance, I can attest that this epic event was most aptly encapsulated by the adage of the Talmud, “Whoever has not seen this celebration… never saw a celebration in his life.”

The jubilant energy and infectious optimism that was felt in the room, was fueled by the realization of a Jewish renaissance that the world has never seen. The promise of global Jewish revitalization by connecting each Jew with his or her heritage, the spirited rededication to the Rebbe’s vision of a world repaired and redeemed, compounded by firsthand accounts of the astounding, continued success of the mission, gave way to enthusiastic celebration and festivity.

I should point out that an identical mid-winter convention is held each year for the Chabad women emissaries, or shluchos. Traveling to New York from all corners of the globe, they spend five days immersed in insightful workshops, inspired study, prayer and camaraderie, culminating at a grand banquet from which they return to their posts, infused with renewed energy, momentum and commitment to their families and communities.

The great alliance between the shluchim and their lay leadership is always palpable at the Kinus. Hundreds of philanthropists and supporters join the shluchim in admiration and gratitude and emerge with renewed fervor and commitment to their important partnership. Getting involved and supporting the work of the Shluchim is deeply rewarding and meaningful.

I encourage your readers to connect with their local Chabad shliach and be a part of the success story of Chabad-Lubavitch. Bergen County alone is host to 12 Chabad centers, comprising dozens of institutions and shuls, manned by 23 dedicated teams of rabbis and rebbetzins.

Here at Anshei Lubavitch in Fair Lawn, we are blessed with an incredible team of dedicated shluchim and shluchos doing their part to reach and inspire each of our brothers and sisters to advance in their growth as a Jew. We would be honored to have you join us at the Kinus next year! If you wish to take part in this remarkable event (there is a $500 dinner fee), please contact me at [email protected].

Thank you once again for shining a light on the International Kinus Hashluchim. It is an event worth reporting and celebrating.
