We at the Bergen County Chanukah Toy Drive would like to thank The Jewish Link for highlighting what we do and how it unites our entire community in chesed. We want to thank all those who participated to date. However, we still have a long way to go. Although we will take donations up until the holiday, we really want to encourage people to shop this weekend and drop off the toys by November 30. Most charities pick up on December 4 and 5, needing their items a week before the holiday so they can distribute in time. We would like to highlight our wonderful local elementary schools whose administrations worked closely with us this year. They are the backbone of the drive and 80% of our donations come from them. Lastly, the drive is a group effort and run 100% by volunteers like Dalia Stelzer and Dovid and Danielle Katz, without whom the drive could not succeed.
