New York—The annual “Think Israel” conference organized by Nefesh B’Nefesh, the Ministry of Aliyah and Immigrant Absorption, The Jewish Agency for Israel and Keren Kayemeth L’Israel, took place at the Convene Conference Center in Manhattan on November 17. The conference, which was geared toward Jewish students and young professionals, focused on careers and life in Israel, and featured various workshops on Jobs in Israel, Higher Education, Building your Community, Israel Engagement and more.
The event also included a special workshop for physicians and paramedical professionals where they were able to meet with the head of the Medical Professions Licensing Department of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Amir Shanon, regarding licensing and certification. A record of over 160 medical professionals attended the event and were able to expedite their medical licensing leading up to their aliyah.
The ‘Think Israel’ conference (www.nbn.org.il/thinkisrael), which drew hundreds of attendees, incorporated various breakout sessions covering a wide array of aliyah and Israel related topics, including breaking into the Israeli job market, higher education, army service in Israel and a special presentation by Nefesh B’Nefesh Co-Founder and Executive Director Yehoshua Fass and Israel Ambassador to the United Nations Ron Prosor.
