It gives me great pride and pleasure to introduce you to our inaugural Jewish Link A-List Edition. This edition has been nearly a decade in the making as we have long brainstormed and pondered on the best and correct way to highlight, honor and pay tribute to so many leading businesses and nonprofits in our community and readership, many of whom are also committed advertisers of our paper. We proposed doing a gala awards event, an awards breakfast, an online event, etc. … you name it, we thought of it. And finally, we realized that we should just stick with the approach of asking you, our readers, to vote directly for the businesses, professionals and nonprofits that you like the best, trust the most and feel are most deserving of recognition.
So we set up all of the categories and began promoting the A-List voting campaign shortly after Pesach, with the votes all in by June 15. We couldn’t believe how many people voted! Nearly 2,000 readers voted and many of our winners received hundreds upon hundreds of votes. We were blown away by the response, as were our editors. You see, we have always known that our readership cares and is deeply engaged, but seeing it firsthand in the voting totals made a powerful impression upon us as publishers. Our readers are very special and we want to thank each of you who voted, whether you voted in just one category or took the time to vote in each. Thank you for making the voting in our first-ever A-List Edition a success!
In these pages, which we hope you will keep, you will find over 130 A-List No. 1 winners and dozens more winners in almost every category you can think of and probably beyond. Each A-List winner has won the trust of our readers and we are happy to share their information with our community.
Mazal tov to all our A-List winners and a special thanks to all who also advertised specifically in this edition! We wish you much hatzlacha and success in the coming year and in future A-List campaigns.
Special thanks to our Marketing Director/Production Editor Jennifer Hoffer for spearheading and directing every element of the A-List Edition from start to finish, as well as our Digital Editor Channa Fischer for her work on the A-List voting and tabulating winners. Yashar Koach as well to our sales team of Risa Lefkowitz, Meir Popowitz, Steve Weisman and Simon Worman, for all your help and work in making the A-List a reality. Last but not least, thanks to our summer interns, Eliana Birman, Daniel Brauner, Sara Cohen and Noah Motechin for all your work and help on the A-List research and copywriting side.

A Note About the Results
A-List voting was open online for approximately five weeks. When voting closed, our editorial team tabulated the results. As you will see on the following pages, each category has one #1 winner listed on top – the entry that received the most votes (we had only one tie!). After that, all others who received enough votes to be named to the A-List are listed in alphabetical order. Therefore, the number of ‘winners’ varies by category, as it is dependent on the amount of businesses who received the votes necessary to be listed. We welcome your feedback at [email protected].
