Scores of people attended the free wine tasting event at the East Brunswick Jewish Center on Sunday, March 5th. Cosponsored by the EBJC Mitzvah Corps and the Young Israel of East Brunswick Israel Advocacy Committee, the event was held to introduce the more than 100 wines and liqueurs available for sale to benefit Yashar LaChayal, with 100% of the net proceeds going to upgrades and improvements of the pinot chamot (so called warm corners) used daily by IDF members, which are sponsored by the East Brunswick Jewish Community.
Five importer/distributor companies were available to provide recommendations and answer questions about their wares. Attendees enjoyed sampling new and familiar wines. There was something for every taste, whether attendees were looking for something for the Passover seder or general enjoyment on Shabbat or throughout the year. New this year are the collections of “Jack’s Picks,” eleven cases of curated wine types available at a 5% discount and specially selected by EBJC Mitzvah Corps principal, Jack Silverman.
