Yeshivat He’Atid Students Prepare for Rosh Hashanah

Yeshivat He’Atid students are getting ready for Rosh Hashanah with engaging and interactive activities. Pre-K students learned to recognize the sounds of the shofar by using blocks as a visual representation of each shofar blow. The students heard sound clips of tekiyah, shevarim and teruah, and then counted the individual sounds to match the amount of blocks on the table. By the end of the lesson, students were shofar sound experts and could identify the name of each shofar blow just by hearing it! Kindergarten students were also hard at work preparing for Rosh Hashanah. They created their own beaded honey sticks to display on the Rosh Hashanah table. The students also incorporated Rosh Hashanah preparations into their math activities. They learned about how honey was made and then practiced their counting skills by counting buzzing bees on their math sheets!
