(Courtesy of YU) More than 1,000 students, faculty and staff gathered in unity for “Stronger Together,” Yeshiva University’s Israel solidarity rally held in Lamport Auditorium on the Wilf Campus on October 11.
Through testimonials of YU students and staff called to active duty or sending their loved ones off to the IDF, the event was a living demonstration of just how connected YU is to Israel and committed to its defense.
In attendance were Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, president of Yeshiva University, as well as YU leadership, faculty, staff and students. With community friends like Councilmember Carmen De La Rosa and Deputy Manhattan Borough President Aya Keefe also in attendance, YU showed its solidarity and unity with Israel.
Participants prayed together, learned together, sang together, and gave each other strength.
The whole New York community saw the participants’ conviction, as the event was covered by numerous local television stations, including Fox 5 News, CBS, NBC, ABC, Pix 11 and NY1.
This event is just one in a comprehensive effort to channel YU’s resources and the energy of its students, faculty, staff and alumni in support of Israel. For more details and information about upcoming events, please visit: yu.edu/togetherwithisrael.
