The Knicks may be out of the playoffs, but it was the ultimate shot for Zadie’s Bake Shop.
A few weeks ago, Zadie’s owner Adam Steinberg received an email from Brittany Landau, who is a content development lead for NBA Management Production. The NBA recently introduced a Jewish Community of Interest Group and Landau wanted to set up a challah baking demonstration for the hundreds of employees at the legendary hoops organization. But they were going to need a whole lot of challah dough and large quantities of mini challahs. Could Steinberg help out? Naturally, he obliged.
Landau, who grew up in Fair Lawn, said her family is a huge fan of the beloved bakery. She sends her children to the Barnert Temple preschool and every Friday they come home with delicious Zadie’s challah that they bake in school. So Zadie’s was the obvious choice for this landmark event.
Six hundred mini-challahs later, NBA employees enjoyed a delicious, mouth-watering challah demonstration at their Secaucus headquarters and later sent in dozens of photos of the challahs that they baked at home.
Landau said in an email, “It was awesome. Everyone really loved the activation, and of course, the delicious challah!”
As for Zadie’s well … don’t be surprised if you hear rumors about a possible NBA + Zadie’s partnership in the future.
